Artist History Whether you listen to her live or on record, Jennifer Ball's mission is the same; to change the world with her music. Her distinct voice is delivered from the heart and fused together to form a unique and milky style all her own. "The best performers make us feel the music. That is what I set out to do with my music," exclaims the Hawaii native. This singer, song writer and performer received most of her musical influence by simply listening. "My family always had music playing (Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Billy Joel). Those are some of the best memories from my childhood, just sitting there taking it all in. I used to put on shows for my family when I was a child. We moved a lot and back then, music said something. It was all I had. It spoke to my soul. I believe this is where my passion for music came from. I wanted to be a part of that." At age 7, Jennifer's family relocated to Greece, where she was surrounded by different cultures and very different sounds of music. With this change, she was able to gain a more broad scope of music. Later, Jennifer soon adapted her own images of music from the tunes that played in her head. She then started penning lyrics. "I didn't let the music that I was listening to control my musical style. I incorporated it and sought my own distinct sounds, which fall somewhere between R&B, Pop and Jazz. Most of the songs are based on ‘my' personal life experiences. Other songs are simply daydreams of what I want life to be. I want the music to come across as an eclectic mix, or movements touching all lifestyles." Jennifer has worked very hard for success in her professional music career. Throughout her years as a musician, she has had several notable achievements: - Awards in local talent contests. - Performed in several weddings, banquets and sponsored social events. - Performed the National Anthem for over 20 NBA games. - Has written and produced songs for over 10 independent artists. - Has recorded background vocals for R&B singer Chante Moore. - Contestant on Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star". This self financed artist continues to perform locally, attracting more and more fans at each event. "I've always wanted a successful solid music career. That is my ultimate goal." Outside of Jennifer's tireless efforts of producing independent musicians; she spends most of her time writing new songs. "The music I write is R&B and Jazz, with an edge. I've always lost myself in great lyrics and music. I want my listeners to do the same when they listen to my music." With heart-felt original compositions Jennifer is poised to carve a niche within the R&B and Pop music industry. Whether it be R&B, Pop, or Jazz, she can vocally deliver, with a flavor all her own.
