The first annual "CRUE FEST 2001" held at the world famous Whiskey A Go Go was Ash Black's very first performance in 3 years and with the new vocalist, Metaphrast. People that were at the very first Ash Black show were: Lizzie Grey and Doug E. Sex (Spiders and Snakes), Stevie Rachelle and TUFF, Gerri Miller (Metal Edge Magazine), The Crue, KROQ radio personalities, Bad Bones, Motley Records, Pretty Boy Floyd, Rich Gardner and Bill Bradford of Stryper Expo, and The Rainbow bar and Grill. Not bad for a first time audience! Thanks to all the bands that performed with Ash Black!........Stevie Rachelle of TUFF: They asked us to be on the bill at the last minute and we'd say we'd love to. One of the guys in Berdoo was in charge of the show, so he placed his band in the top billing. I thought all the bands were great at that show (The Crue Fest 2001).
