Artist History
Static Box officially began in the summer of '98, when Manley wrote about 10 songs in a week. In order to keep the creativity solely in Static Box's hands, they decided to forego the addition any more members and purchase a drum machine (making them , to their knowledge, the first pop/punk band to use a drum machine.) It is hard to define Static Box's sound. Try personal lyrics sung with passion, throw in a melodic guitar and driving bass lines, and mix in sillyness A-la They Might Be Giants. Latest efforts show decidedly more mature song writing and song structure. Sound interesting? Download a few MP3s, buy their CD, and visit their webpage! |
