Artist description s'PlatterKep is an artistic endeavor between two collaborators (conspirators?) in washington, dc. Creating everything from cutting-edge jazz collages in 7/4 to hard-edged trip - pop circa 1968 to waltzes, mambos and the occasional foray into Queen and the BOC, we play/sample/abuse as many instruments and sources as we can get our hands on, drawing from such influences as Crowded House, Library of Congress field recordings, Soul Coughing, Dave Brubeck, Burt Bacharach, old radio shows, scratchy LPs, found sounds, exotic orchestral pieces and obscure jazz records.
