Artist description
Although I'm really the only Shogun, there are a few people who helped me along the way. First is Jason Liebrecht, who lent me my first electronic music software, so I really couldn't have even started this without him. Then there's Vaughn Franklin who taught me logical rhythm and progression from measure to measure. Until he showed me how to do that, I had only played by ear, and had to remember all my music from memory. Without Vaughn, I wouldn't have learned how to translate what I hear in my head to something I could see. And finally, and certainly one of the greatest, is CL. I've known this guy for years. He's written lyrics for a lot of music I've written for the guitar, and my next project will be me singing and playing the guitar - to my lyrics and his. Needless to say, it'll be a big divergence from what I currently have released. In addition to being a poet, CL's very talented with graphic arts, both electronic and free-hand. He did most of the cover design work for my CDs. Oh yeah...Please send me an e-mail if you like my music. |
