Artist description
A hard band to pin down, Minor Procedure features harsh & aggressive electro-industrial rhythms and textures supporting gothic and progressive melodies accented by elements of punk, hardcore, and noise, creating a thick & heavy electronic psychedelia that defies established sub-genres. Sometimes raw & emotional, sometimes polished and intricate, sometimes beautiful, sometimes disturbing -- but always uniquely Minor Procedure. |

Artist History
Minor Procedure began in South Florida in 1991 as a duo called Thespian Lesbians. A lineup change led to the name Neuromantix, another change and they became Neurotoxin. Neurotoxin released a demo called "For Madmen Only", after which programmer/vocalist Jonathan Wright hooked up with a full lineup band, who became known as Acid Fist X. AFX released a demo called "The Mind Of Man", and around the same time formed a side project called HIV Monky. AFX & HIV Monky both played numerous shows around South Florida, including some shows that were fairly high-profile on the local scene. Another lineup change and they emerged as Minor Procedure, and under this moniker played several more shows including one opening for Scar Tissue and LUXT. Wright split from the other members in 1997 in order to return to a more purely electronic sound, and relocated to Nashville. |
