Artist History
The band formed in New York in 1996 with a heavy crass sound, then relocated to San Francisco where they fed this creative beast a sweeter melodic influence. Two years and countless songs later they were headlining weekend nights at such clubs as the Hotel Utah, The Paradise Lounge and the infamous Sunday barbecues at the Bottom of the Hill. Recently relocated to Los Angeles, they have been deeply engrossed in recording. Bassist/singer Erica Quitzow and singer/guitarist Gary Levitt started the group. Erica was performing the acoustic circuit from an anti-folk perspective at NYC clubs such as CBGB's Gallery and The Sidewalk Café. Gary was the guitarist for feverish indie rock band, The Kung-Fu Grip. Current drummer, Samuel Omeechevarria was formerly a guitar player and singer for Portland's Subatomic Calling. Their new CD Fortitude is a product of their self-produced, self-engineered recording endeavor. The band intends to continue writing and recording while playing around the west coast. |
