Artist History Born in August 1996 in West Palm Beach, FL, Gigolo Big consisted of only three members. Those three quickly became eight, then seven, then eight again to form the current line-up. Since the summer of 1997, Gigolo Big has performed throughout Florida, including South Beach & Coconut Grove, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Ft. Pierce, Vero Beach and Jacksonville. The band has opened for national acts such as: The Allstonians / The Articles / Buck'O'Nine / IMI / Jimmy Buffet / Laurel Aitkens / The Mad Caddies / Magadog / Mandorico / Murphy's Law / Skif-Dank / Skinnerbox / The Slackers / The Smooths. GBB won the Rolling Rock Wars Battle of the Bands contest in 1998, released a track on the "Closer Than You" Volume II Florida Ska Compilation CD(Citrus Records), two tracks on "Florida's Punk Ska Element Vol. I Compilation(Putnum Centaurprises), and recently released a self-produced five-song CD.
