Artist description
Before his summer 2002 move to Detroit, Christian Bloch was part of the very elite in Denmark when it came to hard, minimal but very soulfull techno. He comes from the northern part of Denmark, and his DJ-set is legendary in connection with some of the best parties in the history of techno in the city of Aalborg. Bloch has also made a major impact in the legendary Tresor club in Berlin, and is played 2001's Roskilde Festival alongside the likes of Super Collider, Plaid and Slam. The stage is set for musical entertainment of absolute Spitzenklasse. We are talking techno measurable on the Richter scale; from Berlin dub through Detroit over deep down and dirty German to an English minimalism thatâll bring tears to your eyes.
Bloch has released on Andy Vaz's Deep Night Essentials, a sub label of the acclaimed Background records, Pacou's LL Records, a few tracks on Tresor as well as releases on his own label Funque Droppings and a string of smaller labels. He's been remixed by the like's of Pacou, Damon Wild and Sean Deason and he's not likely to be stopping now.
Christian Bloch toured the States and Canada last August playing a massive 10 gigs. He is now situated in Detroit

Artist History
Start 1991 (both producing and DJ'ing), first cd-release 1994, first vinyl release 1997, started my own label (Funque Droppings) in 1997 (four releases so far). In addition to this, I've released a couple of tracks on Tresor.30 and five 12"s on the Düsseldorf label "Simple Muzik" (a subsidiary of "Holzplatten"), a 12" on Pacou's "LL records" and four 12"s on "Deep Night Essentials" (a subsidiary of "Background Records"). In my DJ carreer, the climax so far has been my 8 (!) performances at the Tresor (Berlin) but I've also played all over Denmark and in Sweden. |
