Artist History
ANNOYING L.I.F.E. was formed in february 1993 by Mike Kaiser, Tim Lutze and Anders Jensen. Funny enough out of all people the band got a lot of support from the Didderse church community and so they moved into their first rehearsal room in the basement of the local community centre. In the beginning the band played doom with a little bit of death influences. But after lots of rehearsals and the joining of Dennis Olsen and Christian Klein the music changed more and more. The style of music is difficult to define. ANNOYING L.I.F.E. are trying to be open for all sorts of ideas. Letīs just call it Crossover!? Lyricwise and in general (not just because of the churchīs support!) the band doesnīt want to be associated with the glorification of violence, occultism and other clichees; the songs are focused on problems of the society and the world in general (e.g. nuclear testing, sects, rassism). In June 1994 the band recorded their first half official demo tape "nightbreaker" and tried to reach a broader audience with this tape and their first gigs.In May 1995 singer and lyricwriter Anders Jensen left the band to go to university to study business studies in his homecountry Denmark. For more than half a year ANNOYING L.I.F.E. was looking for a new singer who could identify himself with the style of music. Finally they found Carsten Baatz who stayed for half a year but then left the band because of musical differences. A bit later Kay Schwarz who beforehand played guitar and sung for three years with the braunschweiger band N.O.T.B joined the band. |
