Musical Influences
Orbital, good (ie: real) hip-hop music, Aphex Twin (his Polynomial-C type stuff. A lot of Aphex, while I still think is pretty nifty, doesn't actually do much for me), Leftfield, Vangelis, Mirwais, Benny Goodman and that era, Spybase (:D), Photek - in my opinion some of the most awesome drum and bass you can get, simplistic and awe inspiring - but really, just music that I wish I'd made first! |

Artist History
I'd started playing with my brothers MC-303 when he got it, years ago. After playing with the presets forever, I worked out how to make my own tracks. Very shit hot I thought, I wish this was mine! My brother left for uni and I became sort of an artist, ie: art as my primary interest, but I love music - particularly electronic, it just seemed and incomprehensibly hard thing to be able to create, what with all the technology and stuff. Cut to a few years later and I come into possession of a little (well, actually a decent packet of) money :D ...So...I decide now I have to opportunity to actually buy myself a good stereo. Well then suddenly I realise I have money enough to do a lot more! So I research and research my arse off (thanks to my brothers old future musics) and choose stuff to buy. I did that in January 2000, and musically have come a long, long, way (baby?). I discovered the puter for sequencing and was never the same again...saved me a great arseache - and is essentially a better way to sequence midi, though it's restricting in many ways...being a squarepusher on a monitor isnt intuitively that musical...but hardware sequencing is a pain! Ah well. |
