American by birth, accent and attitude, Steve Power has been entertaining people since his childhood in California singing duets with his mother for
tips in local restaurants. Since then he:
Played harmonica for John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters,
Sang a-capella with Joe Cocker,
Broadcast on live radio for the BBC, Radio Nederland 1, VARA 3FM,
Stood as bodyguard for Little Richard,
Hitch-hiked across the entire USA six times,
Co-produced the last concert of Steppenwolf,
Founded the nearly famous Sting Like A Bee,
Contributed to music for the award winning film ”Boy Soldier”,
Survived shooting attacks, car wrecks, and various governments,
Won critical praise for his song writing,
United with current or former members of Dave Edmunds, Love,
Racing Cars, Bo Diddley, Ray Davies, Chicken Shack, Shakin’
Stevens, Alex Harvey, Tom Jones, Eric Burden, Van Morrison, and others,
Toured countless times in America, Britain and Europe,
Was named U.R.D.A. Musician Of The Year,
Received acclaim from Elwood Blues,
and somehow is still alive.
