Artist description
Forbidden Songs For Fallen Souls
Imagine dark, almost tribal, rhythms permeated by layers of sympathetic guitars, trance-inducing synthesizers, and the most pained and powerful vocals you have ever heard. You are imagining Soren's debut album, The Dying Man.
It is the sound of endless sorrow and eternal dreams. The sound of those that have rejected popular religion, government, and business in favor of truth, and harmony to it. It is the sound of a Fallen Soul.
Soren's songs are wet with the evidence of insight and isolation, and so is his personal life. Soren lives and works in a pyramid (that he personally built) hidden deep within the Rocky Mountains (an hour away from the nearest gas station). In fact, The Dying Man, was written, produced, performed, and recorded inside the pyramid, by Soren himself!
The Dying Man is available at major retail outlets, including Tower Records, Amazon.com, as well as at Soren's official web site, www.ForbiddenSongs.com. |

Artist History
PLAY LIST AND INSIGHTS FOR "THE DYING MAN"
1) THE DYING MAN
She loves him and he loves her. But the world is on fire and he is burning out. Fast.
2) BEAUTIFUL FOR YOU
He made the most of his mind and body; but soon it will be of no use. Not to him, her, or anyone.
3) CIPHER
He submits to the power of a music-centered ritual in a subconscious attempt to escape the pain of knowing and feeling.
4) ATRO CITY
He becomes angry and attacks religion, government, and business.
5) VICIOUS CIRCLE
Angrier still, he condemns the leaders of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism and suggests repentance.
6) THE DEVIL'S FAULT
Sarcastically, he assumes the role of a Christian who constantly complains that there is endless evil in the world; but, tragically, is actually responsible for much of that evil.
7) RITUAL SURRENDER
Frustrated, he turns to the old Gods (as personified by nature) to find his center, the sacred doorway to the end.
8) SACRIFICE
He understands the world and is full of both selfless compassion and personal sorrow. It shouldn’t have to end this way; but there seems to be little hope of an alternative
9) THE END
He takes his lover by the hand and they disappear. Forever. |
