Artist History
Shane has encouraged college-town open-mic crowds in Madison, WI and the Boston area to guffaw, chuckle, and sing along for the past 3 years. He fronted a mercifully defunct party rock band in a former life in, but Shane now firmly believes in playing upbeat, original acoustic songs that audiences can laugh at and sing along to by the second chorus.
In his real life, he is earning a PhD in History of Technology from MIT, writing a dissertation about long-haul trucking in the rural landscape (which involves a chapter or two on 1960s country truckin' songs like Dave Dudley's "Six Days on the Road"). Shane is also fluent in Swedish and finds it odd to write about himself in the third person.
