Artist History
Dawson's Rejects started off in December of 1999. Dawson's Rejects was originally formed back in high school as (I guess you could say) an alternative to the normal after school life of the average high school teen. None of the guys are in to drugs, drinking, or partying; and they certainly don't like to go clubing, so this is an easy out, and gives the guys something to do. Oh yea... they did it for the women too! It took over a year for the Rejects to play there first live show in March of 2001. A battle of the bands at Mayfair Church of Christ in OKC. Since then they have gone on to play many more shows around the OKC and surrounding areas including Lawton, Shawnee, and Bartlesville. The band is planning
many more shows including an out of state tour in the summer of 2003. The one thing that makes this band so great is the chemisty between friends. Unlike a lot of other bands that have to audition for guitarist and drummers. They are all friends, they have been for as long as they can remember. They can play off each other and know how to joke around. And no matter how much they stink at a show, they always have each other to point out their mistakes and make each other feel even worse. The guys are really just starting to take off as far as bands go. With a slight change in style and making better songs the band is starting to get more of a following.
