Artist description
Driving, but melodic guitars and a heavy, solid bass mesh well with the fast, incredibly hard drumming. The music is written according to the emotion contained in the lyrics. Our lyrics cover a wide variety of material from different problems we see with the world to more complicated subjects such as girls. Each member of the band, adds his own undeniable style to the band which gives Switched Up a feel like no other. Interpret the lyrics however you want, rock out in any way possible, we wanna rock and take everyone along for the ride! |

Artist History
The members of Switched Up met at their school in Falls Church and started playing in November of 2000. 3 months later, Switched Up cut its first demo cd. The raw content was good, but due to time and money constrictions, the overall result left much to be desired. (Mixing was completed in under 2 hours, only 4 hours were spent laying down eight songs). The band started off by playin the party scene, and moved up from there, while gaining a reputation for a fast, very tight sound, and fun and exciting stage presence. Unhappy though, with the original demo cd, Swtched Up recently recorded its second demo at Jammin Java studios in Vienna, VA. Twice as much money was spent on this album, and it shows. The band has crafted a much fuller sound with impressive guitar and a much improved bass, to mesh well with the always spectacular drumming. We hope to play a ton more shows this coming year and let more people experience the flavor of Switched Up! |
