Artist description "Prinz Ali” is the alias I use when I produce music. The name is some years old and it all started when I got my first mixer and 2 CD-players. I didn't know what to call myself, so my brother helped me out with another alias name (Ali Alert). Only few times have I played for actual people as a Dj. and it has only been at family parties, too bad for me. Later on I got 2 turntables and a shitload of records and I started to play around with them. Then I chanced my name from Ali Alert to Prinz Ali. Meanwhile I started talking to a good friend of mine (Bjarke, AKA x-flr6) about doing something together. He plays a lot of music in a lot of different bands. The first idea was a line-up with him on percussion and me behind the turntables. We talked for a long time about it; actually I think we talked for 1 whole year with out doing anything about it. Finally I lost interest in the DJ-business, and went out with my buddy and got some gear. And we started working together and forming a band (casus9). Time has past and more equipment have been perches. And we have already played live for actual people ;-) Now Prinz Ali is the primary name I use, but Ali Alert is still living on with his own projects, behind the scenes.
