Artist History
Doctura began in San Antonio, Texas during the summer
of '96, as a band formed by four high school friends.
They started out playing cover songs at local bars, but
the drive for original expression was too strong.
Soon, they graduated to playing all original material
at San Antonio clubs and have had the pleasure to
open for such bands as American Head Charge, The Union
Underground, Nevermore, Mercyful Fate and Biohazard.
The original four members have been playing together
for over seven years. Doctura blends an aggressive guitar
attack with a booming bass and near virtuostic drums
to create their unique style of power-groove metal.
In the summer of 2000, Doctura recorded their first CD,
Intertwined and recently released their self-titled follow-up.
The growth of the band is evident on Doctura, both as musicians
and as brothers. |
