Artist History
I never really liked rap music that much. I felt the lyrics were always too explict. I liked the style of music, it was just the lyrics that kept holding me back from ever taking a real interest in it.
In theatre class, we were assigned to write our own monologue and perform for the class. Many ideas came to mind, but I finally decided to write a parody of Eminem's, "My Name Is...". Everybody knows it, and if you rewrite the lyrics to say something different, the people will think that it's funny.
I did my performance, on the second to last day of school, and people seemed to be quite entertained by it. Well, I was really bored when school got out, so I decided to start writing rap music and eventually produce an album. I didn't have alot of funding for this, so I recorded it at home (as you can tell by the poor sound quality on my vocals), I promoted it as much as possible online, and I got my album set up with MP3.com.
I plan to keep writing and recording after school starts again, but I'm gonna slow down the pace and not try to record albums within the course of a couple of months. I'll probably produce on a year. I don't expect to make a career out of this. It's just a hobby. |
