Artist History
Adam Pringle began playing guitar at the age of 7. He knew from an early age he wanted to be a guitarist. In 1995, he teamed up with bass player Andrew Mortensen & drummer Scott McCotter and began jamming. 1997 saw Scott replaced by respected Sydney drummer Lloyd G & the trio became known as ADAM PRINGLE BAND & began playing regularly around many Sydney venues. At this point there were no originals, the band only playing covers of a number of blues acts. In 1999 Adam & Andrew met drummer/percussionist Jacob Cook. The guys booked Jacob to fill-in for a gig & something clicked. Jacob was then asked to replace Lloyd full-time. The guys started hanging out & rehearsing a great deal. Before a gig one afternoon, Jacob busted his ankle, but suggested he still do the gig but get his friend ?Jud? to help out on some percussion. Jud also played all the saxophones. The gig went down well & Adam asked Jud if he?d like to become a permanent member. Now the line-up was complete. Since the completion of the line-up, the quartet has been working on a number of originals & is in the middle of recording a studio album. |
