“The genre with a million names: glitch rock, noise, experimental, laptop rock, etc, etc, etc. basically orchestrated noise. It's something I was introduced to a few years ago through a friend that had a project of his own. Up until now, though, I had never really payed any attention to projects other than his...and now here comes Yip-Yip. An Orlando whatever-you-call-it duo that has turned my thought patterns 180 degrees. These guys know what they're doing and make it sound good. You can dance it up to this stuff or let it play in the background, you can study the multi-layered intricacies or just bob your head to the overlaying beats. What ever you choose to do, this is an excellent introduction to a usually inaccessible scene. I just don't think i can say enough. I'm kind of sorry I even told you it was noise-rock or whatever because you'll probably get the wrong idea. The packaging is all handmade, to boot - really nice looking.” – Rich Bully, www.theset-up.com “yah! your smartly-packaged ep exceeded expectations. dynamic and engaging compositions throughout. i deeply appreciated the bite in each song. lots of electronic music artists borrow the posturings of punk rock but leave behind the confrontation. it's twisted fun, too. it gave me the same heady rush as listening to sixfinger satellite and early mr. bungle for the first times.i like the fact that you guys didn't draw this out to a full-length. most other people probably would've based an entire too many electronic types drag out their loops to epic proportions. it's just so tiresome and egotistical, tests the dear listeners' patient good will.eagerly i await your next live performance.”~sheila Campbell "...before that we heard from yip-yip. high heel to mammal avenue. off an-also unusual cd-r demo received i think two weeks ago, called high-heel to mammal. from orlando. that's made by yip nuber one and yip number two, who are very feminine looking boys that dress up in uh...there kinda space outfits but they also kind of look like zz top. well there kinda like the beards in zz top. but kinda muppetized. it's really good though, so hey you yips send some more stuff up here you yippies. so. good. uh. actually i think on the back of it they have the chord progressions to one of the songs, you can't beat that...." – donna summer, Advanced D&D, WFMU
