Artist History
The group began as a collaboration between longtime friends, drummer Matt Hershey and guitarist/singer/songwriter Jeff Knowlton, who have been writing and recording music in Katonah, NY since their high school days.Jeff met guitarist Dave Murray at the University of Vermont, where the duo spent years playing acoustic shows all over New England. The trio wentinto the studio to record their first full length demo, and by September of 2000 set their sights on Boston where they met bassist Richey Tally, solidifying the sound and musical vision of REDLETTER. |
