    Artist description
Best described as "The Dandy Warhols meet No Doubt," Loudboy's material ranges from the junkie cool of "Beauty Whore" to the New Wave irony of "Young and Pretty in Los Angeles," and the silly party anthem "All This Cake" which manages to both celebrate and skewer pop sensibilities at the same time. LoudBoy's combination of dark humor, sleazy sex, and dirty rock n' roll vibe draws upon influences and inspiration from bands like X, the Velvet Underground, Blondie and David Bowie.

    Artist History
Los Angeles-based Toronto-raised singer and songwriter Barnes (former lead singer of The Nylons), came off the road late last year from promoting his critically acclaimed solo release "Loudboy Radio" to put together an underground pop band for his next record. Working in collaboration with another east coast punk rocker with Pop on the brain, Miss Cindy Pop, and SoCal guitar hero and surf doggie Bernard Yin he began to develop the sound and the songs that would become LoudBoy. Recently joined by ex-Fuzztones player Jason Savall (vocals and vintage keyboards), Jeff Merchant (bass), and Roy Staley (drums & percussion), this powerhouse unit has already become one of LA's favorite party bands.
