Artist History
Damien Geve'Dunmore (aka Stick3X)
is a multi-talented bassist, songwriter
and vocalist whose eclectic foundation draws
from numerous influences, including Sun-Ra,
John Coltrane, Little Richard, Bootsy Collins,
Japan, Mick Karn, David, Sylvian, Prince, Weapon
Of Choice, Fishbone, and Bad Brains.
His brand of fusion has been acknowledged
throughout his career as an excellent blend
of the best of funk, rock, jazz, reggae and
Afro Middle Eastern influences. The result is
a trans cultural sound, which is perfected when
combined with his physically demanding and
intellectually stimulating stage performance.
Stick (as his close friends call him) is one
of the founding members of the highly regarded
act, Daddylongleggs. His involvement with the
band spanned over a decade and had obtained
national recognition playing to large crowds
as much as 4,000 and includes acknowledgements
on the albums of Stone Temple Pilots,
Henry Rollins Band, and Fishbone among others.
Throughout his career, he has also collaborated
on various projects and performed with many great
musicians including Melvin Gibbs (Henry Rollins
Band), Irie Dread, Sprung Monkey, Buc O Nine,
Angelo Moore, Fishbone, Bad Brains, to name a few.
