Artist description Who is shoe? Shoe is a grizzled pack of musicians comprised of former hobos who met along a desolate stretch of track on the border of Kansas and Colorado---Kansarado territory as it is affectionately known. The one common bond was their ability to collectively sing in a retarded southern drawl while drooling profusely on their overalls (and ultimately on their shoes--hence the name). Once Shoe realized they had what it takes to make it big, they set their minds on converting city-folk to their rugged mix of bluegrass, country/western and jazzimo---and hopped a locomotive towards the Big Apple. Ever since their arrival to the city in the middle of January 2001, they have been playing to ever-growing crowds of music enthusiasts, ranging from straight-laced corporate-types to ex-country bumpkins to gen-x hippy-dippy bolos to just plain ol' squids.
