Artist History
This is a biography, of sorts, about me. My name is Richard E. Moore, and I make music.
I just released a CD (in June of 2001) called "sketch". It’s got 13 of my songs on it, some
of which are better than others.
The whole disc was recorded in my dining room, living room, and bedroom, on a high-speed
four-track cassette deck, which I bought on EBay.com for about $150. I like to give out
useless information.
The songs on the disc are expressions of emotion. They are really 4-track roughs, some
of which may appear on an upcoming release entitled "potter", with members of Son Of Rust
(www.1201.com) and various other musicians.
They roughs are, like emotion, imperfect – each
track was recorded live- I focused on the feeling, the taste, the emotion of the
songs, I hope this comes across.
I’ve been playing music since I was a little hippie-punk in Oregon, where I grew
up. I moved to Hawaii in 1994, where, three months after learning how to play
guitar I became part of a celtic folk rock band called Hadrian’s Wall. I sang
backing vocals and played rhythm guitar. We released one full-length album,
Haiku Rd., and a follow-up EP that I don’t like, The Edge of the World: The
Remix EP.
I moved back to Oregon in 1996, then to Arizona in late 1999, presumably to
reunite Hadrian’s Wall. Things with Hadrian’s Wall fell apart, however,
and I decided to pursue a solo project, which has borne its first fruit,
sketch. I hope you like it.
So that’s a little part of me.
I make music.
Enjoy.
