Artist description
Vocal-driven, alternative power-pop with catchy hooks and clean melodies - and it's easy to dance to. Ardent rock with pop sensibilities, Rain All Ready is often compared to U2 and the Police, with a lick of Radiohead. The band has imbued the traditionally "gimmicky" downtown New York City music scene with earnest pop, deliberate lyrics and a versatile rhythm section. Formerly known as Numbers, Rain All Ready formed in late 1998 and has been at the forefront of the downtown NYC music scene for the past year. With their well-crafted original music and a few well-selected covers, they routinely pack such venues as CBGBs, Bitter End, Lion's Den, Elbow Room, and Arlene Grocery. The band has also earned statewide airplay, MTV exposure, and sold out shows in the rest of New York State. Their debut CD The Untitled Crow is due out in late 2001. |
