Artist description
Honesty and pure passion is what you will hear when you listen to the creative talents of James Kinne and the James Kinne Band.
His lyrics will penetrate your soul and his vocal and instrumental talents will evoke that sense of Deja Vu that leaves you wanting more. In today’s industry of re-mixes and few true artists, James Kinne has held strong to his own unique style of melodic folk-rock music and honest songwriting.
As former lead singer and songwriter for the band Chasing Gray, he molded the creation of "A Break In The Clouds" which gave them the national title of "Best Unsigned Band" by SPIN Magazine. James' ability to blend strong rhythmic textures as well as intricate chord and string arrangements continues to enhance his appeal to diverse audiences. His intense and thought provoking style has been compared to such artists as Toad the Wet Sprocket, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, The Samples, Jars of Clay, Vertical Horizon, and the Freddy Jones Band.
James Kinne's solid stage presence and pure passion for playing live is brought to life with the James Kinne Band. James is most comfortable with guitar in hand, regardless if he is at home writing, at an open mic, in a coffee house, or on stage with the band in a sold out venue. He possesses a true and honest passion for playing live.
His sincerity and motivation allows him to continually push his creative boundaries. This strength equates to a live performance that is both infectious, intriguing, and an experience you don't want to miss.
