Artist History
FaultLine originated in a small town of Oak Forest IL, a south suburb of Chicago. In the summer of 1999, the band was out to start playing music they loved and showthe crowds how they see reality. The five members got together with one goal inmind, to get their messages and emotions out through music. It all started when Chris Ferenzi (guitarist) and Dan Bikar (guitarist) startedplaying covers together from musicians like Korn and Coal Chamber. Soonafterwards the two were off to start a band. When they heard of former singer NickGalbavy they called him up and asked to try out for a new metal band that wasforming. Nick accepted and checked out the guitar players. They read his songs hehad written before and liked the way he sang. Dan called up Dennis Kapocius, adrummer he knew, and asked him if he’d like to jam out with the band. The nextday the four played songs like Blind from Korn, Loco from Coal Chamber, andBlack from Sevendust. Everything clicked together and were off to fill the circle.Going threw a few bass players the four found the one to fit the melody they played,Dave Flores. Then the band was deciding a name that had a cool sound to it. FaultLinepopped in mind and just ended up staying the name. The five then sent themselves ona journey to make music no one had heard or listened to in their town. |
