Artist description
The production of all the instrumental bass/techno bass releases are produced by Bass 305. All of these recordings are recorded, mixed and mastered entirely in the digital domain. This process enables the listener to hear the full audio spectrum, from 20hz to 20khz. High definition stereo panning is used to surround the listener. High tech effects and sound effects gives the music a "sci-fi" sound. Moving ultra low bass lines creates a tremendous mega woofer sound. This unique music incorporates elements of early experimental electronic music, adds the boom of "Miami Bass", uses the state-of-the-art digital technologies of automation, sampling, and mastering, to create a techno bass sound only available from Bass 305. |

Artist History
The production duo known as BASS 305 consist of brothers Mark and David Watson. BASS 305 was formed in 1992 after the Watson Brothers left Atlantic Records where they produced and wrote Pop and Dance projects for the label. The duo started recording modern instrumental music in the same vein as early Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk. “We started adding an extreme low moving Bass part to the compositions. What was created was a very highly sophisticated electronic music with “Miami Bass” low end. The music sounded like the Electronic Avant-Guard experimental music that I did at University of South Florida, where John Cage was briefly a professor, states Mark. The project, later entitled, Digital Bass was the first Album released by BASS 305. David and Mark recorded the Album at their studio in Ft. Lauderdale in mid-September of 1992. “I used every trick in the book to make that record sound great!”, states Mark, who credits Eddy Offord, long-time Yes Producer, as the person that taught him a lot about engineering and producing records. After the success of their first Album, David and Mark started creating new titles. To date, they have hit the Billboard Charts numerous times and have sold over 1,400,000 Albums according to SoundScan in the U.S.! |
