Recorded in bristling digital lo-fi, and completely improvised, the album echoes influences of early 20th-century acoustic blues, dense fuzz-rock, melodic trance music, and African-derived rhythmic architectures. Not your typical guitar album, even by the standards of the "noise" genre, passing as much through swirling, dreamy looping as through undulating, searing grunge, never forgetting about the time-worn significance of melodic and rhythmic development.
