Artist History
When older brother of Nicole and Kevin asked what the best way to tell friends that he changed his mind about taking a trip to the Austin Music Festival, their response was to write a song about it. After a few laughs, the elder took a walk to retrieve some food. During this time, Nicole and Kevin created their first song together, "Lost In Austin". Noting that the siblings played well and naturally together, and after finding out the older brother was going to Austin anyway, Small Band created their second song, "You Lied". In a whirlwind, the duo were being requested for Birthday and weekend parties. Thus, the name Small Band was first created (as opposed to a Big Band). After discovering money could be made off playing about town, the two continued to write and perform to support their ice cream and mocha shake habits. |
