Artist History The Richard Grant Band...RGB... has been around in one incarnation or another for years. Richard, known to his friends as "Rick", (we're all friends here, right?), began writing and performing his original comps at the tender age of 8, torturing family members mostly, at that time, and joined his first band in the 7th grade playing Beatles covers and generally making the local neighbors miserable, (sorry folks). Like many of the bands here on mp3.com, the garage was where it all started and years later we fondly remember...sort of...many hours of working to get it right, cuz that next big gig was just around the corner. Since then it's been one project after another, always keeping the original music in the foreground. Now, with a new album in the works, the experience gained over years of live performance and writing, is showing up in our newest tunes. No stranger to road work, having opened shows all over the midwest for headliners such as Pat Travers, Molly Hatchet, Humble Pie, Head East, Rick Derringer, The Guess Who, The Outlaws, Gary U.S. Bonds, Foghat, Meat Loaf, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, and others, RGB is poised and ready to take it to the next plane. Personnel changes...go figure... are presently being finalized and recording will be completed in the coming year.
