Artist History
'Heartcore' started off as a project between Jo Warren and Ben Mitchell. The pair have worked together previously as prominent members of Underground Records, a continually expansive trading community, and have written numerous articles as a couple for th e Sexual Health Information Centre. The original intention for the band was a one-off 2CD set, one disc featuring daytime music, the other night. Seven songs were recorded before circumstance split the two up and Jo left the country. Following Ben Mitchel l's succesful solo endeavors at MP3.com, which has included three albums to date, Jo began writing music and sent it to Ben to be polished and recorded. From these foundations Heartcore has grown to include vocalists Lizzie Silcock and Chris Richardson (b oth of whom have been involved in the past with Ben Mitchell's solo projects, the latter the frontman for Underground Records' surreal comic troupe 'Larry'). |
