Artist History Gerry Wayne Babb third child of eight children born in Hopinsville, Kentucky. He was exposed to gospel music at a very early age. His family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. In 1971 he began singing in Clubs as Rhythm and Blues singer. In the music business he has worked with independent record producers and publishers as a means to advance his songwriting career. Gerry has worked on projects for Mercury Records (Memphis),RCA Records (New York) and Edge Records in Calfornia and meny more. He regretfully turned down an exclusive contract with Clive Davis, then President of Arista Records in New York. He was never satisfied with the message that Black Music was giving the Black population. He has started his own publishing company Live Authentic Music, BMI. In 1992 he was commissioned by Warner Brothers Records to write a series of gospel songs for their gospel label. Gerry continues to believe that the message is the key to restore integrate, morality, hope and love to our community.
