Artist History
Zeb was formed in mid-late 1999, by Ian Price and Joe Baker. It was
an idea for a school talent show to get kicked off the PAC stage, or at
least annoy the hell out of an audience. They were soon joined by
members from Ian's old band, Grill-o-Matic Mosey, who were Mark Triese and
Doug Morrison. Another school friend, Jonny Deschamps, was recruited
as a trumpet player for fashion purposes, as was another ex-Griller Ryan Horlacher for drumming.
More practice went into preparing for that first show than any show since
and many a song was written. When the actual performance took place we
were surprised to find that the audience actually enjoyed what they heard, almost to our dismay.
Soon after we were asked to play for a birthday party at Auburn's resident
club, the Annex. The show was a success since everyone had left the room
by the time we finished our first number (which happened to be about twenty
minutes long). We played shows back and forth between the Annex and
the PAC and were soon joined by Bryan Warne who had come to most of our
shows. Recently we were invaded by the likes of Devin Brown and his motor tongue, who has now left to pursue Buddhist danceology. |
