    Artist description
Who is Waking James? Simple - WJ is five guys, all devilishly handsome - and all forced, at gun point, to drive around the country, act like fools, have fun, and play their own brand of high-energy, unique, rock and roll; pretty sweet really. Waking James is an original band that began at Drew University in Madison, NJ in early 2000. Dubbed guitar driven rock, their style is difficult to define, but is heavily influenced by classic rock, hard rock, and blues, with a funky acoustic edge. The boys are currently promoting their newest creation, Enjoy Tuesday.

    Artist History
Waking James is a five-piece original band that formed at Drew University in early 2000 and has successfully toured east-coast colleges, prep schools and club venues for almost two years. From the moment the band formed, their tight chemistry was obvious. They have worked hard at developing a unique sound that combines modern rock with old school funk/groove jams all infused with guitar-driven classic-rock melodies. Following a few weeks of writing, the boys (originally a quartet) decided to bring their original high-energy music to as many people as possible. After only a handful of shows they quickly dominated the local club scene and WJ was born. Dubbed a high-energy jam band by their fans, Waking James has been successfully gigging for roughly three years.
