Artist History
in the fall of 2000, travis spent a lonely four months in new york city during an internship. he wrote a handful of songs that, upon his return to texas, became the groundwork for a new project. instead of doing the obvious and starting a band along the lines of what he was doing, he kept it solo and started playing shows. also, he didn't have many friends that could play anything.
after two DIY releases, slow gun records (LA) put out a full-length right before a wildly unsuccessful national tour in the summer of 2002. travis (along with his friend ryan from LA's spitfirevolver) travelled across over ten states, earning one parking ticket and one traffic ticket. two weeks and seven sets of strings later, the returned to texas. ryan spent the followed day and a half on a greyhound bus, where he was molested constantly by smelly individuals.
in the months that followed, travis regrouped, writing new material and playing regional shows. he is currently working with a drummer, quatro (from 'with pins pulled', a band travis is also in), and they will begin playing shows all up over this beeyotch soon). |
