Artist description Reclusion is an ass-kicking metalband from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in the fall of the aggressive Anno Domini 1998. All members have their pasts in different known Swedish bands, and almost everyone have played and toured together in various "configurations" at some point before. Reclusion plays qualitative music that (briefly described) combines the 80´s techno-thrash metal with the 90´s clean, but aggro edge. Lots of atmospheric variations, catchy guitar-riffs, vigorous drums and powerful singing is promised to everyone who listens to these tracks.

Artist History A demo-CD was recorded at Los Angered Recording, in May ´99, supervised by Andy La Rocque from King Diamond, who took care of the technical part and production. Shortly after, the quest for a record deal begun. The band signed a deal with Loud n´ Proud records in November 1999 and entered Los Angered recording in February the following year to start recording the debut album "Shell of Pain". Produced by Andy La Rouque. Everything was finished by mid Mars. Loud n´ Proud had set a release date in May 2000. Unfortuenatly the label when out of business prior to the release. They did however release a 7" vinyl single entitled "A Force of one". The songs where taken from our demo. The quest for a second record deal begun. After being in contact with several labels, Reclusion decided to sign with French Listenable Records. A decision was made that the album needed more aggressive sound, so a remix session was scheduled. Together with Risza, live engineer for HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and producer/engineer for PSYCORE, we did the necessary changes to the album. The making of "Shell of Pain" finally ended in July 2001.
