Artist History
began in the fall of 1999 when Joe Folmar started tinkering around with some acoustic ballads he had mulling around in his melon. After the completion of a few songs, and the utter praise he recieved from his bandmates in somanyhavetried, Joe decided to name his project and see where it led.
And such was the birth of Nothing Brings Indemnity.
After a few months of writing and playing locally, somanyhavetried and Nothing Brings Indemnity released a split EP titled "the disheartening realization that you've moved on..." And good times were had by all.
But then, it all came crashing down.
Well, not really. Actually it got a bit better.
In fall of 2001, Joe left his hometown, and his band, to attend Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. However, he continued to write acoustically in hopes of recording and playing more live shows.
In December of 2001, Joe was contacted by his former band guitarist, Jake Mesler about releasing his CD with Jake's new label, Refining The Dynamic. (Betcha cant guess whether or not he agreed!)
Shortly after the new year, "If I Die Sleeping" was sent to the pressing plant. The LP was released on April 15, 2002, and has received a great response thus far.
Currently, Joe is setting up touring for next year, and contemplating more schooling.
