Artist description
Issued from a collective desire to revive the charismatic elements of funk, under the influences of James Brown, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, spiced up with the fusion of John Scofield, a band is formed in the early fall of the year 2000, Naked Groove.
Now get up offa that thing and let yourself get driven by the enchanting wizards of rhythm, drummer Boogie Dan and Bass by M.O.S. They'll lay down some of the Phattest Drum'n'Bass grooves that are surely gonna get you moving. Now get ready to enter the Funkedelic Groove Conspiracy, with the electrifying and dynamic energy of singer Valerie Bisson making sure everyone's getting in to it. What's funk without Wah? Now let guitar duo of Wah-matic Tom deliver some of the funky stuff spiced up with the riffs and licks of Pat Rice or just let Joey Gill blow you away on saxophone.
The band recently had the privilege to perform the opening act for a well established Canadian band, The Respectables, @ La Maison du Band in Granby (Quebec). Naked Groove also performed @ The Maysen Pub in Lennoxville (Quebec) for the Make a wish foundation. Naked Groove also performed @ Musique en Vue in Cowansville (Quebec). |
