Artist description
'SOMETHING DIFFERENT, SOMETHING NEW'.
Young, ambitious and equipped to cause some serious chaos on the independant scene, Lik-Wid have by no means failed to impress all that have encountered their presence. Giving birth to their debut EP "Phalluscentric" in October 2001 this 5 man strong commitment of melody and mayhem have seized a sound that screams out 'different' even to the deafest of ears. Referred to by the group as 'Groove orientated metal' their sound is a unique blend of heavy elements, "powerful, energetic riffs", "funky rhythmic bass", and a solid demanding beat that sets the standard for the diverse and unpredictable vocalist stylings that finish off the tasteful flavour of lik-wid.
Making their presence known wherever they perform, Lik-wid have been planning a promotional tour for 2002. With the success of their EP "Phalluscentric" and their exposure on commercial radio, and all over the internet, the group have really big plans to unleash in this upcoming year.

Press Reviews
Michael Allison (The Global Muse) - "Lik-Wid kick out the heavy grooves with some ferocious metal on their 5 song EP "Phalluscentric." With the primal screams and heavy guitar taunts, this band can kick some serious ass. For those who love the super heavy grooves and growls of the underground metal scene, lik-wid is nothing less than a great place to start. I loved the way the guitars overpowered everything on this album. The music is heavy enough to still contain some melody, but without straying too far from the raw energy that the music presents. "Phalluscentric" is certainly an album that the hard-core fans with appreciate."
