Artist History
Debbie O performed with a number of rock bands before joining the Washington DC based quasi-punk band Sex on TV. Sex on TV gave Debbie O a creative platform to develop a new musical style since she was intrigued by soundscape artist like David Bowie and Brian Eno as well as groups like Siouxie and the Bandshees, thus inspiring her to experiment with more moody, ambient music. She began collaborating with Sex on TV bassist Vernon Hawkins, who also had an interest in this type of musical adventure. These rare recordings represent their collection of songs.. |
