Press Reviews
Austin Herald, 2001: "...how great I think the album is.
I just listened to the entire CD again and there's so much to hear.
"Discovery" is a good word because there are many sounds to discover.
I'm so impressed and really like some of the montages.
It's so much like a piece of complex modern art where you can look at the richness of it again and again and take away something different at each experience.
For me the myriad of sound layers and segued parts will keep it interesting for quite a while.
BRAVO WillaFineHouse Studios!!" T. Ventura -------- ...................................................................
Austin Herald, 2001: "THERE'S SOMETHING TERRIBLY RIGHT WITH "TERRIBLY WRONG"
Fine House Studios has done it again! After a much-too-long hiatus from
recording community circles, Fine House Studios has recently come out with
their long awaited "surprise" release of 2001. "There's Something Terribly
Wrong Here" has been touted and hyped as the mystery release of 2001. The
album delivers complex, yet ear-pleasing dance remix's of every song off of
Rosetta Stone's 1990 "The Discovery" album, which featured the tantalizing
vocals of Rose Ventura.
During your first listen, you'll wonder what really IS going on, as you
hear water, footsteps, traffic, and elevators. But it's not too long
before a clear visual picture erupts of an Imaginery Evolutionary settling
in at their "crib" to listen to pieces of the original "Discovery" album.
Each snippet is masterfully sequed and it's hard to tell where one ends and
the next begins. After this delicious overture, the album takes off and
the heart of it ensues. The producers have done magic here, there is no
doubt. If you're familiar with the original "Discovery" album (and quite
frankly, who isn't?) you oftentimes have a difficult time comprehending how
they have managed to take original "Discovery" vocal tracks and meld them
so perfectly into today's popular feel of techno. And with so much techno
hitting the shelves these days, it hard to tell one track from th! ! e
next. "Terribly Wrong" delivers that refreshing approach to a new music
genre that is long overdue.
Give "Terribly Wrong" a good listen......it'll make you feel "terribly
right." " |
