Artist description
In the Beginning, there was music, and the music was good, but not great. Eventually, the music began to rock, still good, but again, not great. Throughout the short history of Rock and Roll, there have been many who've attempted to perfect its sound and delivery, but only a handful have succeeded.
M E R G E D O W N is one of those few........
Mergedown began as a group of friends who always toyed with the idea of combining their collective talents to make some great sounds. Noel and Dan decided to take matters into their own hands and got together to try and see if they were on the same page musically. As it turned out, they were, so they decided to get Jason into Dan's feverishly hot attic, where there was barely enough for two, let alone three people to stand. They carried on in the August heat, and when they invited Christian, who had worked with both Dan and Jason, they realized they had something on their hands that was much better than a hobby. They had created a band. Once they moved from Dan's attic to the cool spaciousness of Noel's basement, they began to write lyrics and music that they never knew they had inside them, and their performances of these songs speak to the listener. Dan's powerful aggression on drums, Noel's driven guitar riffs, Christian's distinctive bass lines, and the dynamic of Jason's vocals come together and grab the listener's attention, as if to say "We're ready for you, are you ready for us?". |
