    Artist description
Imagine a city scape filled with the sites and sounds of a busy afternoon. People are rushing about, horns are honking and the subway rumbles just underneath the bustling streets. You follow a road that stretches off into the vast distance. The hustle and bustle of the city soon fade replaced by the sounds of nature, quiet, cool, and calm.

    Artist History
Justin Hoy has been playing music for over 15 years and has been recently involved in the music industry since founding his own record company Halogen Records in 1997. Justin has been involved with many aspects of music, including his experimentation with multi-media music and movie scoring. He combines many flavors of Jazz, Classical, and improvisation to create his own unique style of music that he calls "Conemporary Groove". Hoy is a graduate of Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont where he had many opportunities to develop his skills. While attending Goddard he played with many jazz greats including: Lester Bowie (trumpet), Bob Moses (drums), Michael Ray (trumpet), Tim Green (saxaphone), Marshall Allen, and Cooper Moore (paino). In addition, while studying to become a teacher he developed two education workshops for the local high school titled "The Importance of Arts in Education" and "Learning and Teaching Education Through the Arts." Both workshops were dynamic successes and helped Justin to realize his overall learning goals. As a senior, Justin wrote, directed and scored a children's musical for his senior study titled "I Want Out of Here", a musical about overcoming limitation to discover your hopes and dreams. After graduating from Goddard in 2001, Justin went to work at a local radio station and more recently (2002) became the Expressive Arts teacher at a school for developmentally and emotionally challenged kids called the Francis Foundation. Before attending Goddard, Justin lived in Maine and was a partime student at the University of Maine at Augusta where he studied with piano teacher and friend David Libby and musician Chuck Winfield (blood sweat and tears). Justin's most recent solo project titled "From the City to the Haybarn" is a culmination of his experiences in Maine and Vermont. The album was released in the fall of 2000 and has received plenty nods of approval. Hoy is currently writtng new music for his second album "To Be" which has no release date scheduled and has been developing new music with his 6 piece group Wonderflux and will be playing a number of events
