Press Reviews All at www.dreamzfate.com When the package arrived containing this cd, it was ripped open with joyous enthusiasm. Here was a band promising metal, like it should be, this is what we want! It's ok, having the latest flavour of the month rock rap band and hundreds of band wagon jumping groups hastily put together to satisfy the pop charts, but sometimes you just want to listen some REAL heavy music. You want to hear huge guitar riffs and pounding drums, pure heavy rock untainted by 'enhancing' sound effects. With Dreamzfate this is exactly what you get. What we have here is straight ahead, no frills, no gimmicks metal. If you're looking for the next limp bizkit sound-a-like, you will be sorely dissapointed. This is rock as it should be, raw and noisy but also melodic! Opening track 'Buried Alive' is a monster of a song, from the opening chords you know this is going to be something special, it's driven along at a ferocious pace. One thing that instantly strikes you is the vocal range of front man Rip Beier. An obvious comparison would be Bruce Dickinson, the soaring at times almost operatic voice floats perfectly over the relentless drumming, and buzzsaw like guitars. The songs just keep coming, there isn't a moment of tranquility on here, fast and heavy is the order of the day! 'Deep in the night', for me is one of the stand out tracks on the album It's just so damn catchy! Listen to this once and you'll be singing the chorus for weeks to come! The addition of keyboards to the track add some atmosphere, combine this with a stunning guitar solo, and what you have here is a song to make you feel good! A song to play air guitar to in the privacy of your own home! 'Back for Vengeance', is another excellent track. It's a locomotive of a song, powering along with no room for breath. The guitars squeal, the drums keep everything together, and once again those vocals just add the finishing touches. I just couldn't review this album without mentioning 'Power and Glory', this is a fist in the air, head banging, metal anthem! It's a full on tornado of a song, singing the praises of the very music we all love. "Together as one we'll stand and fight - ROCK ON" Overall this is a great CD, not one bad song on it. If you want riff heavy rock, with plenty of guitar solo's and catchy songs, check Dreamzfate out. They fit in a category somewhere between Iron Maiden and Stratovarious, not quite as fast as Power metal, and not quite as brutal as Maiden. If you like hard and heavy rock, then you should love these guys! To quote the song "Power and glory" (again): "Hear the power and the glory of metal" - Hear Dreamzfate!
