Artist History Adam Buyck and Steve Goterch have known each other since they were kids playing wiffle ball in Steve's backyard. One night Adam's brother had some friends over. One of those friends happened to be Steve Goterch. Adam's guitar playing and style caught Steve's ear. Steve sat down with Adam and instantly they knew they had something. From there they met every day in August and began writing together. After 2 months of playing and writing Steve and Adam decided to get this thing going. They Picked up former 9 Volt Lilly's bassist Mike LaRoche. From that point in time day in and day out Adam, Steve, and Mike played in cold and smelly cellars but they didn't care, they saw something in the band nobody had yet seen. For almost 2 or 3 months they practiced every Saturday and Wednesday for at least 4 hours. Something was still definitely missing.... a drummer. They tried out drummers from Tony Corenti, Sean Kendal, and Jeff Clark. All of them were very talented but didn't have the right sound for Crooked Ladder. Finally they got a guy named Sean Canedy. He was the right guy for the job. Crooked Ladder still practices frequently and will be recording a demo soon.
