"Theirs is an intelligent brand of music, not a bunch of drunk punks pogo-ing around the stage and screaming at an innocent microphone. The Trade's original music falls somewhere on the ethereal plain between Concrete Blonde and The Pretenders and it's already turning heads."
-Kevin G. Brosien, Dig Magazine
"Singer Robin Graham has tremendous vocal abilities..."
-Rob Lucas, The Buchtelite
The "lush mood of the songs builds from composition...people are intent on listening... The Trade's lyrics are colored with imagery of blue, a blue with a deep history..."
-Brett Davis, Record Courier
"...Into the Dark Rains, THE TRADE's full-length debut, rocks. Even the slower-tempo selections are driving without coming across as overly emotive or melodramatic...one of the most impressive facets of THE TRADE style is how they manage to blend intensity and sweetness into one workable package."
-Courtney Baker, Spot Magazine
"The hard, but gentle structure that is derived from the songwriting...bring the original taste of the music to the Northeast Ohio music scene... the band connects with its audience giving them a sound that yearns for an undivided listen."
-Michael Freeze, The Buchtelite

WOW! This album should be on everybody’s wish list. Robin’s voice is so beautiful. The whole thing is just so perfect. I really don’t know what to compare them to. They kind of remind me of the Gathering (Century Media) except The Trade is more alternative than metal. Either way, they rock and I really really liked this. I don’t know what else to say except for – get this now!! |
