    Artist History
Comprised of five unique individuals for around the world, they form the musical juggernaut known as Sickbox. Started in 1996 and becoming a full working unit in late 2000, Sickbox combines a variety of influences that violently attacks the senses with its multi-layer attack of pure aggression, precision pile-driver drumming and guttural growl that touches the darkest side of the human emotion. This distinctive sound bridges the gap between metal and hardcore which Sickbox describes as “Insane MetalCore" the sound of chaos… Breaking from the mold of the typical metal band Sickbox is an ever-evolving unit that pushes the envelope of extreme brutality and experimental madness keeping new listeners on the edge and hard core fans eager for every new song written, winning Sickbox a even growing fan base. The fans are what drive Sickbox, hungry for the ultimate release Sickbox hits the stage like a megaton warhead. Capturing shocked audiences with an energetic live show and equally twisted soundtrack, whipping them into a turbulent mass, a sight that needs to be seen to comprehend. A DIY ethic and ever present talent Sickbox has become a prominent fixture on the underground metal scene in Colorado with an ever growing fan base and is poised to take the rest of the world by storm with its sound of chaos…

    Press Reviews
Throat Culture magazine #5: What can I say about Sickbox's second self-financed CD that will MAKE you go out and buy it? Well , it's heavy as fuck, it has shredding groove/breakdown/mosh riffs, it's pretty original, it's heavy as fuck -what? You're still reading this review? Stop reading this and contact these guys and get yourselves a copy and make them fucking rock stars! You can tell that Sickbox is heavily influenced by slipknot, but dare I say it? They are way heavier than the masked men. Vocalist - Stevil - has a wide variety of screams, some sounding "nu-metal", some sounding almost black metalish and at times even hints of death metal vocals. And like I said in the review of Sickbox's debut CD, drummer Yuli can easily compete with slipknot's Joey Jordison. Sure Sickbox can be called nu-metal, but they ad a ton of different influences into their sound (including death-black and thrash metal) and, like I said before they're heavy as fuck! The only negative thing I can say about this CD is the few rap parts thrown in here and there. But other than that, this CD shreds. -Rod Brown. Editor, Throat Culture Magazine.
